Apple in the latest event held on 7th September 2022 held at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. At this big event, Apple announced 4 new IPHONE, Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8, and the new Apple Watch SE. Similar to the last few years, Apple is offering two base models – the all-new IPHONE 14 and the IPHONE 14 Plus and the two “Pro” models -the IPHONE 14 Pro and the IPHONE 14 Pro Max. Australians will be able to pre-order all four models of IPHONE starting from 9th September. IPHONE 14 and IPHONE 14 Plus Specifications
The standard IPHONE 14 continues with the 6.1-inch display while the IPHONE 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch display screen which is larger than the previous version of IPHONE. In both the standard and the Plus models – IPHONE 14 and IPHONE 14 Plus, has an Apple’s A15 Bionic processor and a 5-core GPU aiming for better performance. IPHONE 14 Plus is promising this time the best battery ever for an IPHONE. The front-facing TrueDepth camera in the standard and the Plus version of IPHONE 14, for the first time, gets auto-focus and low light performance. If we talk about the features in both these latest Apple releases, the features are identical, the only difference is in the size of the display screens. The standard version of IPHONE i.e. IPHONE 14 delivers a compact 6.1-inch display while the Plus version of IPHONE i.e. IPHONE 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch display focusing IPHONE lovers who want a larger canvas size for game playing and watching movies. The IPHONE base models – the IPHONE 14 and the IPHONE 14 Plus got a diagonal camera bump on the rear and the same slim notch on the display. Neither of the base models of IPHONE models offers anything more than a refresh rate of 60Hz refresh rate on the display screen. Both the IPHONE base models – IPHONE 14 and the IPHONE 14 Plus have Apple’s Super Retina XDR OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. These two versions of the new IPHONE 14 feature a solid ceramic shield on the front glass, included for drop protection and more durability. Apple has discontinued the use of a physical SIM card tray in both the base models and is using an eSIM exclusively.
IPHONE 14 Pro and IPHONE 14 Pro Max Specifications
IPHONE 14 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen while the IPHONE 14 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen. The two Pro models of IPHONE i.e. IPHONE 14 Pro and IPHONE 14 Pro Max have the latest A16 Bionic Processor. Both these Pro models of IPHONE have a 48MP primary camera on the rear with the support of Photonic Engine software for better computational photography. The IPHONE 14 Pro and IPHONE 14 Pro Max have Apple’s popular ProMotion 120Hz adaptive refresh rate which means the two Pro models provide you a more fluid experience. The notorious notch on the Pro models is being replaced by Apple’s latest innovation, the show-stealing Dynamic Island which as per the company “maintains active state to allow you easier access to controls with a simple tap and hold. The Pro models of IPHONE now have a crash detection feature, which in the event of a severe car crash immediately gets connected with the satellite instead of relying on cellular data, notifying emergency services of the user’s location. Apple has discontinued the physical SIM card tray on all four models of mobile phones and is now using an eSIM exclusively.
About IPHONE 14 Pro and IPHONE Pro Max Design
Both the new IPHONE Pro models now have the highly-touted Always-On display as well as the innovative Dynamic Island notch. The IPHONE Pro and the IPHONE Pro Max both have got a new fancy 48MP main camera on the back – the first ever seen in an IPHONE.
